This track came out of a series of looping experiments I'd been doing with the Rumble of Ancient Times in November of '23 using the 1010music Black Box to create 2 and 4 bar loops that I could then record into the SP 404 mk2 using pattern mode to perfectly execute the timing. I then used the Polyend Tracker to sequence the SP404. I've since switched to the Dirtywave M8 for that sequencing. The percussion and rhythmic elements came out of the Polyend Play and after all of this had been multi-tracked into Ableton I cut up the drums and moved them around. The repeats were manual cuts because I couldn't quite get the recording take I wanted done using the repeat on the Perform mode of the Play.
