Last night we went to go see David Byrne in Detroit at the Fox Theater. It's hard to describe to experience. It was electric, I found myself emotional a number of times during the performance. Hearing Naive Melody live was a highlight, as was Byrne's cover of Paramore's Hard Times. Byrne's visuals were carefully chosen and evocative. Inspiring and charming in equal measure. On the drive home we listened to an episode of Smartless where the hosts interviewed Byrne and I found it fun, and we found out about his collaboration with St. Vincent, which we listened to the remainder of the drive home.
